Technical Caracteristics

Pre-mixed dry mortar based on cement, additives, aggregates and screened, dried and selected cork granules, which significantly reduce the product’s weight compared with similar mortars, without the need for mixing with other components.

Advantages and Uses

• Suitable for machine spraying.
• Thicknesses of up to 5 cm in a single application.
• Low density, making it ideal for the refurbishment of old floor slabs. 
• Easy levelling with a simple straightedge.
• Can be reinforced with mesh.
• Improves impact sound insulation by up to 4 dB when 5 cm of product is applied over an acoustic membrane.

Suitable Substrates

• Substrates must be resistant enough, stable, sound  and clean. Free of dust, release agents, organic products, etc.
• The area to be levelled must be stable, hard, and consistent.
• Before applying make sure all holes and / or cracks are previously repaired on the substrate by using products from our PAVILAND or MORCEMREST range, depending on the nature of the substrate and the type of repair required.
• For bonded screeds (thicknesses under 50 mm) on solid concrete substrates, PAVILAND PRIMER R must be applied beforehand. For other types of substrates (ceramic, marble, etc.), please consult our Technical Department.
• Floating screeds: thicknesses of 50 mm on insulating substrates, plastic membranes, or vapour barriers. For other types of substrates, please consult our Technical Department.

Application Procedure

MECHANICAL APPLICATION

• Stablish according to the machine selected (section and length of hose) and external weather conditions, the optimum water / mortar ratio.
• Project the mortar onto the substrate, keeping the variables constant, as that may affect the characteristics of the applied mortar (distance from the wall, angle of application and proportion of water).
• Apply in layers no thicker than 5 cm, allowing each layer to harden before applying the next.   Smooth and correct any imperfections using a trowel or similar tool.

MANUAL APPLICATION

• Add between 5.0-5.5 l of water per bag and mix manually or mechanically until getting a homogeneous and workable consistency.
• Let the paste rest around 5 min. then mix again.
• Apply in layers no thicker than 5 cm. Allow to harden before applying additional layers.
• Smooth and correct any imperfections using a trowel or similar tool.

Recommendations

• Do not apply the product under 5ºC nor above 30ºC temperature.
• Do not apply under the risk of frost, rain, heavy wind, or direct sun light. Repair any damaged areas on the substrate beforehand.
• Do not mix with any other products or loads. Application thickness between 5 and 50 mm.
• On weatherproof or anti-impact membranes, minimum recommended thickness: 50 mm Respect structural joints and create perimeter and partition joints.
• Once the product has been mixed, and its resting time has elapsed, do not add any water.

Packaging and Storage

25 Kg laminated paper bags. 1 year storage in its original packaging, indoors and away from humidity.
