Technical Caracteristics

Product based on cements, selected aggregates, fibers, and additives.

Advantages and Uses

  • Levelling mortar for interior irregular floors.
  • High mechanical strength.
  • Easy to apply and great self-levelling power.
  • Smoothing of floors in interior residential buildings with moderate pedestrian traffic, prior to the installation of the final floor covering: ceramic tiles, parquet, PVC, linoleum, etc.
  • Suitable for underfloor heating systems where levelling over a pre-existing screed is required.

Suitable Substrates

  • Concrete, cementitious screeds  with  suitable resistances and others. Please ask our technical department for other substrates.
  • Substrates must be resistant enough, stable, sound, and clean, free of dust, release agents, organic products, etc.
  • If necessary, the substrate must be prepared by mechanical means, to obtain a surface free of surface grout with a suitable porosity.
  • Before applying NIVELAND 10 make sure all holes and / or cracks are previously repaired by using products from our PAVILAND or MORCEMREST range,  according to  the nature of the substrate and the type of repair required.
  • Apply Paviland Primer R to prevent the formation of air bubbles in the render and to improve adhesion to the substrate, following the instructions in the technical data sheet for this product.
  • Before applying the mortar, make sure that residual  humidity is under the recommended one (below 3%).

Application Procedure

  • Mix the product with water (5.0-5.5 litres per 25 kg bag) with a mechanical mixer at low speed (500 rpm approximately) until getting a homogeneous paste without lumps. The exact water dosage is especially important to avoid product segregation,  increased shrinkage, and reduced strength.
  • Let the paste rest around 2 min. then mix again.
  • The pot life of the mixture is 30 minutes, depending on environmental conditions.
  • Pour the mixed product and spread it with a levelling trowel.
  • The maximum recommended thickness is 10 mm, although up to 20 mm may be applied in localised areas or small sections (maximum 10 m² or 5 linear metres), provided that the substrate is resistant enough .
  • Respect structural joints and create perimeter and partition joints.
  • NIVELAND 10 should be protected. It is not a suitable to remain uncovered.

Recommendations

  • Do not apply the product under temperatures of 5º nor above 30º.
  • Do not apply if there is risk of frost, rain, heavy wind, or direct sun light.
  • Do not apply outdoor.
  • Do not apply on humid floors or if there is risk of having moisture.
  • Do not add sand, cement, or any other material that may alter the original formulation.
  • Once the product has been mixed, and its resting time has elapsed, do not add any water.
  • For floors with surfaces larger than 20 m² or more than 10 linear meters, it is recommended to create expansion joints, dividing sections, with joints of about 6 mm which can be filled with PUMALASTIC MS or PU.
  • The expansion joints of the original substrate must be respected, and perimeter joints should be created.
  • The surface layer should be protected from an extremely fast drying, specially under elevated temperatures or / and heavy winds.
  • Before applying the final flooring, residual moisten of the floor should be previously checked to make sure it is suitable for the floor to be installed.

Packaging and Storage
